Sofia
Owner of RO therapy & yoga,
Holistic physiotherapist, healer, yoga teacher for 14 years,
yoga therapist trainer, retreat host, space holder.
Sofia is the owner and founder of RO. Yoga has been her passion since she was 16. Half of her life. She started teaching when she was 18. Yoga has become an integral part of Sofia's life, a lifestyle that she lives and breathes every day. Sofia's desire was to integrate physiotherapy more into yoga and thus create a greater understanding of the body's anatomy, diseases and injuries, so that we as yoga teachers can better take care of our students and also create a therapeutic aspect in yoga that goes beyond what has become ''mainstream''.
Another desire with the creation of RO was to be able to offer specialized yoga for the physical and cognitive aspects.
All of our yoga teachers are trained therapists.
I teach at a high level with a focus on correct alignment, breathing, mindfulness, grounding, meditation techniques, high professionalism and yoga as a spiritual practice.
Sofia has taken many yoga trainings, workshops and courses and continues to do so all the time, staying up to date with the latest knowledge and following some of the world's best yogis.
She has, among other things, been accepted to train with Sharath Jois and Sawaswathi Jois, children of Patthabi Jois - who founded Ashtanga yoga in his time.
In addition, she has her own yoga school: RO yoga academy.
Where she trains yoga teachers 5 times a year.
Hosts and teaches retreats in Bali, Mexico, the Faroe Islands, Marrakesh & Sweden.
''I became curious about creating a yoga form and techniques that were more suited to the modern/Western body.''
Sofia has designed the concept of ''holistic physio yoga'' in hatha/vinyasa form, which is based on an injury-oriented approach and thus addresses and takes into account the modern working person in the West/office workers.
''I know exactly what we need to activate, stretch and focus on to make YOUR body happy that day. I always have alternatives for everyone, all kinds of injuries and limitations can join my classes. I have taught people with Parkinson's, blood clots in the brain, disc herniations, brain tumors, meniscus injuries, shoulder injuries, spinal stenosis, and general lower back pain, etc. I always know how I can help YOU!''
With Sofia you can disconnect, create grounding and deep RO, work your body well while being playful and fun.
I offer both very active classes inspired by Ashtanga yoga and holistic physio yoga and in addition my famous Wednesday classes ''Reset, sound, reiki & oils'', which bring you into deep deep peace. These classes have helped people with stress, anxiety, severe trauma and cancer, among others.
Sofia is enthusiastic, happy, disciplined and focused on the essence of yoga. Always carries a theme for the day that suits the season, the time, something we can all relate to and that brings more meaning and peace into the class.
It is very important to me that you feel like you have been to yoga and have your prana activated - this is NOT a fitness class. I do everything I can to bring as many elements of the essence of yoga into my classes. This is WHAT I live and breathe for.
Looking forward to seeing you on the mat.

Nanna
Nanna is a psychologist and yoga teacher with a deep interest in the connection between body and mind. Her work, both as a psychologist and teacher, is based on the understanding that the body plays an important role in our emotional regulation and mental well-being. Through the bodily anchoring in yoga, we can create a deeper connection to ourselves and find a more sustainable inner peace. For Nanna, yoga is not just a physical practice, but a space where we can be with all that we are – all emotions, thoughts and bodily sensations.
Nanna has been practicing yoga since 2016 and has explored several different yoga styles over the years, including Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin. Yin yoga in particular has won her heart and complements her therapeutic work, and it is also the one she teaches at Ro. Her classes are characterized by a gentle, meditative approach, where there is room for contemplation and presence.
In addition to the physical aspects of yoga, Nanna incorporates techniques from mindfulness and compassion, which support a deeper connection to the body and mind. Her teaching often includes meditations and affirmations that can help cultivate inner peace, acceptance and compassion. For Nanna, yoga is also a spiritual practice and she likes to include yoga philosophical themes in her classes, where you will experience how the wisdom of yoga can guide you to greater self-insight and connection – both with ourselves and the world around us.
Over the past year, Nanna has also found great fascination in the dynamic practice of Ashtanga yoga, which contributes to her own yoga journey and understanding of how different yoga traditions can complement each other. She became a trained therapeutic yoga teacher at Ro Yoga Academy in 2024 and has since shared her passion for yoga.
Nanna's approach to yoga is gentle, caring and inviting. She creates a space where you can land in your body, be with what is, and discover the transformative potential of yoga. Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, in her classes you will be guided into a practice that supports you where you are.
Welcome to a free space where you can breathe, feel and be – exactly as you are.
Nanna teaches Yin & Mind on Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Josephine
Josefine has practiced yoga for 20 years. She is a passionate tango dancer and has a background as a rhythmic gymnast. Therefore, a great body awareness, flexibility and flow are part of Josefine's practice.
As a career woman and mother of two, Josefine uses yoga to find balance between body and mind. An approach to self-care and connectedness that she would like to open up to others through groundings, meditations, yoga philosophy and pranayama.
Josefine does a dynamic vinyasa flow with a focus on stretching, strength and balance.
Josefine is a trained yoga teacher at Ro Academy.

Johanna
Physiotherapist, yoga teacher and dancer
I am a physiotherapy student and work as a yoga and movement teacher based in Copenhagen. I have enjoyed movement for many years as a big part of my lifestyle, as something I enjoy with friends and family and, most of all, as something I passionately want to share in my teaching. I believe that through somatic movement we can get closer to ourselves and feel the root, that has nothing to do with thoughts, feelings or experiences, but is simply the present and what exists in the given moment.
I have been dancing and teaching dance for many years, I have been teaching yoga for the last 5 years and I am also very fond of natural movement and various acrobatics disciplines.
For flow yoga we work with repetitions of movements so that yoga becomes integrated into our nervous system and body. There are both soft and strong sequences and I try to meet both those who show up with the intention of getting a workout and those who show up with the urge for peace. I want to create a space with room for your inner, creative play child and love to encourage you to be curious and challenge yourself to try something new.
Yoga can help us become both stronger and more flexible, but also to get to know ourselves better. There will be good music and you will have the opportunity to both follow what I guide and also explore on your own.

Helena
Osteopath student, physiotherapist and yoga teacher.
In Helena's yoga lessons, the relationship between the body's strength, balance and flexibility is challenged. With her physiotherapy knowledge, she does her best to spot the students' weaknesses in connective tissue, muscles or joints, which may be the limiting factor in a yoga practice. Helena brings with her from osteopathy knowledge about the influence of the different body systems on possible challenges. She has a strong focus on how the mind and breath can influence the body in a certain direction. That is why she is committed to educating her students in breathing techniques.
She also focuses on creating a flow that challenges coordination, i.e. the interaction between the limbs in different positions. This way, you will probably forget about time and space while you are in class.
Helena teaches hatha flow yoga at Ro Terapi every Thursday at 6:00 PM.

Janne
Yoga teacher trained in RO, HelYoga and Immersions I-III Anusara Yoga
My teaching is calm, sensitive and supportive, with room for both silence and reflection.
My intention is to create a space where you can safely give yourself the freedom to land within yourself – a space filled with calm, presence and care. I organize my classes with care and you are met in an open, loving and safe field, where there is room for both immersion, exploration and development – both physically, mentally and energetically.
Through my voice, the gentle music and silence, I invite you to feel your body, your breath and what is moving within you. There is time. Time to land. Time to let go. Time to be with what is – even when it feels challenging.
Maybe a deeper encounter with yourself. Maybe more rest, contemplation or freedom. Whatever you find – you are always welcome, exactly as you are.

Leah
Nursing student and yoga teacher
I am a trained yoga teacher at RO in both Vinyasa and physiotherapeutic yoga, and my own yoga practice has been a part of my life for over 14 years. Today I am studying to be a nurse with a special interest in holistic health - it is important to me that we see the human being as a whole, both physically and mentally.
As a child, I danced for many years, and this gave me an early contact with the body, which I try to convey through my yoga lessons today.
My teaching is calm, simple and inclusive. I try to create a space where you can feel at home - regardless of your level. I believe that the philosophy of yoga is as important as the asana practice, which is why my classes include movement, pranayama and always a guided savasana. At RO I mainly teach yin, but you can also meet me in other types of classes from time to time.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat and making room for you.
